Job Title: Dietician

Qualification: Diploma in Nutrition/B.sc (Food & Nutrition)

Experience: Fresher or 1-2 year experience

Report to whom: Administrator/ Operation Department.

Job responsibilities:

1. To be responsible for the daily requirements of all patients

2. To counsel OPD/ IPD patients

3. To Check trolley & equipments cleanliness

4. To calculate nutrient and energy intake values for individual patients

5. To check and ensure general cleanliness of kitchen area utensils as well as crockery and cutlery.

6. To receive indents from wards and maintain register accordingly.

7. To provide urgent request for diet of new patient.

8. To discuss patient’s case with consulting doctor and medical officer when necessary.

9. To supervise distribution of food to the wards.

10. To ensure that food served is always hygienic, attractive and hot/cold.

11. To visit patient in the wards daily, discuss dietary problems, and give advice to reporting authority.

12. To check patients charts daily to ensure that food charges are properly entered.

13. To maintain a good relationship with ward staff and seek their cooperation in prompt indenting of meal requirements.

14. To make diet sheets for patients, if needed.

15. To suggest and implement new recipes

16. To perform any other duties assigned by the authorities.

17. To check all the raw materials (dry and perishable).

18. To take corrective actions for any complaint received from patients

19. To co-ordinate with outsource agencies

20. To taste the food before serving any meal.

21. To operate wending machine for patient relatives Tea/coffee refreshment.
