Designation : General Manager R&D (Electrical & Electronics) Department : Quality Sub-Function : R&D Electrical & Electronics Work Level : Seasoned Manager Reporting To : Functionally : Head R&D Administratively : Head – R&D Team Size : 5 Direct Reports Location : Manesar, Haryana Key Responsibilities: Strategic Partnerships (25%): Forge and manage alliances with local garages, OEMs, parts distributors, and retailers across key locations to enhance vehicle uptime and service efficiency. Customer Engagement & Satisfaction (20%): Lead initiatives to monitor and improve customer satisfaction metrics, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and customer expectations. Fleet Uptime & Workshop Management (20%): Oversee fleet performance to meet uptime commitments and manage container workshop facilities effectively. Service & Parts FRC Management (25%): Administer service operations and parts management to optimize First Response Completion (FRC) rates within the assigned territory or state. Warranty & Team Management (10%): Control warranty costs and lead the R&D E&E team to achieve departmental objectives efficiently. Qualifications: Education : B.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering or M.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Experience : 15 to 20 years in OEM R&D, specifically in Electrical & Electronics for heavy commercial vehicles. Languages : Proficiency in English and Hindi; knowledge of local languages is an advantage. Required Skills & Competencies: In-depth understanding of heavy commercial vehicle design, development, and R&D processes. Expertise in electrical and electronics systems within the automotive sector. Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Proficiency in OEM quality standards and practices.
