Position Details: Role: Database Administrator Experience: Minimum 7 years in IT, with at least 5 years in Database Administration and 3 years supporting open-source databases Location: Muscat, Oman Key Skills: PostgreSQL, Hadoop, MongoDB High-Availability Solutions (Always On, Log Shipping, Mirroring, Replication, Clustering) Disaster Recovery & Backup Strategy Security Patching and Hot Fix Management Windows Server & Network Coordination 24x7 Production and On-Call Support Responsibilities: Design and implement application integrations with existing/new databases Coordinate closely with Security, Network, and Windows teams Install and upgrade database systems per company standards Ensure best practices in database security and performance Conduct regular DR drills and ensure system reliability
