Data Entry Operators: Job Duties and Responsibilities

Organizational skills: Data entry operators must have well-developed organizational skills. They are frequently in charge of transferring and updating information, and even minor mistakes can have an influence on the entire company.
Computer skills: Data entry operators will use computers a lot during the course of their normal workday. In the function of a data entry operator, knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and typing will be extremely helpful.
Communication skills: Data entry operators may need to speak with clients to update information, depending on the position. It is necessary to have the ability to obtain crucial information, communicate effectively with clients, and update records.
Project management skills: The Data Entry operators will be better able to manage several projects at once with the use of project management skills. It may be necessary for a data entry clerk to switch projects quickly, thus maintaining accuracy is crucial.
