The Big Picture: The Civil Engineer - Utility scale projects will own and drive the site grading and leveling for utility scale solar/BESS projects, while also collaborating closely with cross functional teams to ensure on time delivery of high quality, fully compliant and comprehensive project solutions What you can expect as Civil Engineer - Utility Scale Projects at Illumine-i: You'll own the execution of site grading and leveling for utility scale PV/BESS projects. You'll collaborate with service providers on various site studies and survey reports, review proposals/RFPs etc. You'll closely collaborate with the project managers, enabling them to effectively communicate with our customers, utility companies/contractors, administrative/government agencies etc. You'll assist with responding to RFPs, conduct feasibility studies as needed. You'll be innovative and proactive in providing solutions/solution approaches. You'll perform other duties and special projects as assigned, while working with other teams to ensure clients needs and internal deadlines are met. Essential Qualifications include: Bachelor s degree in civil engineering 4-6 years of experience in Site Grading Analysis for utility scale PV/BESS projects. Proficiency in plant layouts, laboratory and/or field-testing protocols and other reports. Experience with Civil3D, AutoCAD etc. Proficiency in MS Excel Comfortable with executing multiple design iterations as per client requirements. Good understanding of technical specifications of Solar Modules, Inverters, mounting systems & BoS. Ability to work under minimal supervision and resolve issues independently based on project/company standards. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Proven record of good judgment and analytical skills. Ability to effectively communicate with engineering, construction, and customer facing teams. Great to have: Experience with executing utility scale projects in North America. Experience in STAAD.
