Cobbler

Position Summary: A Cobbler is a skilled tradesperson who repairs, restores, and customizes footwear and leather goods. They work with various materials to fix shoes, boots, handbags, belts, and other leather accessories, ensuring products are functional, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing. Key Responsibilities: Repair damaged shoes and boots, including resoling, stitching, patching, and replacing worn-out parts like heels, soles, and laces. Clean, polish, and restore leather footwear and accessories. Customize shoes by altering fit, adding protective layers, or changing design elements. Measure and fit customers for proper shoe size and comfort adjustments. Maintain and operate cobbler tools and equipment, such as sewing machines, grinders, and polishing machines. Advise customers on shoe care, maintenance, and product selection. Manage inventory of materials, parts, and supplies needed for repairs and customization. Keep accurate records of customer orders and job completion. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the workshop.
