The role of Cluster Optometrist at Lenskart involves a unique combination of optometry and optical retail, with a strong focus on enhancing the optometry skills of retail staff. Additionally, you will identify and train store staff to help them achieve their goals, wearing multiple hats as a team leader, bench, senior, and consultant optometrist as needed. Participating in regional, departmental, and operational meetings, maintaining documentation, and reporting daily to the PS regional manager on store visits will be crucial aspects of your role. You must uphold high standards of accurate eye tests, clinic hygiene, and instrument calibration, ensuring compliance with defined SOPs. In terms of customer service, you will be expected to address technical detractors, returns, and escalations through detailed root cause analysis, while also striving to maintain a high density of top-rated optometrists in all stores. Operational expertise will involve periodically working as a store optometrist, recommending talent placement, ensuring clinic equipment is in working condition, and driving operational balance scores above 90% for all stores. People management will be a key aspect of your role, encompassing tasks such as managing attrition, team motivation, and culture. You will be responsible for optometrist hiring, conducting chair tests, implementing performance management systems, and driving people development initiatives.
