Role Overview

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Key Responsibilities

Project & Execution Oversight

• Lead execution of high-end interior fit-out projects across India
• Oversee full project lifecycle estimation to handover ensuring quality, budget, and timeline adherence
• Conduct periodic site visits to ensure adherence to safety and execution standards
  

Estimation & Planning

• Own and lead pre-construction estimation and costing processes
• Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Design, Procurement) on material take-offs, tenders, and bidding strategy
  

Services & Technical Expertise

• Strong technical command over MEP services (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting, IBMS)
• Guide service coordination, execution drawings, and site integration
  

Leadership & Team Management

• Mentor and lead a cross-functional team including Project Heads, Site Managers, Estimation & MEP Engineers
• Drive a culture of execution excellence, accountability, and ownership
• Oversee hiring, performance evaluations, and capability building within the operations function
  

Strategic & Operational Excellence

• Work closely with the MD and Board to define and execute business strategy
• Strengthen internal processes: SOPs, MIS, budgeting, and cost control mechanisms
• Represent the company at critical client meetings and industry forums
  

Candidate Profile

Must-Have Qualifications & Experience

• B.E. (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) or B.Arch from a Tier-1 Institute (IIT, NIT, SPA, CEPT or equivalent)
• Minimum 22 years of experience in commercial interior fit-out project execution
• Strong expertise in estimation, project planning, site delivery, and MEP services
• Held senior leadership roles (GM/VP/COO/Delivery Head) for at least the last 5 years
• Minimum 5 years of tenure in previous organizations (no frequent job changes)
  

Key Competencies

• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to inspire large teams
• Excellent client management and stakeholder engagement skills
• Sound commercial acumen with exposure to contracts, vendor negotiations, and cost control
• Familiarity with project monitoring tools like MS Project, Primavera, and ERP systems
