A Control and Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer is responsible for the design, development, installation, and maintenance of equipment and systems used to monitor and control engineering processes, machinery, and utility systems. The role ensures optimal efficiency, safety, and reliability in operations. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain control and instrumentation systems for plant utilities and process equipment. Manage safe and efficient operation of systems including: Chemical Handling Systems Gas Distribution Systems Building Management Systems (BMS) Deionized (DI) Water Plants Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP) Fire Fighting Systems Exhaust and Scrubber Systems PLC/SCADA automation platforms Develop and maintain instrumentation control philosophies and logic diagrams for integration with plant operations. Ensure proper interface and coordination between utility equipment and process tools for smooth plant functioning. Lead commissioning, calibration, and troubleshooting activities for field instruments, PLCs, and DCS systems. Specialized Experience: Extensive hands-on experience with Siemens PCS 7 Distributed Control System (DCS) and Siemens PLC systems , including: Programming and configuration System diagnostics and fault resolution Logic modification and optimization Integration with field instruments and third-party systems Key Competencies: In-depth understanding of utility and process instrumentation. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Email communication, and Internet-based tools. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with team-building capability. Confident in public speaking and stakeholder communication. Additional Contributions: Lead and mentor down-the-line technical teams to build in-house capabilities. Develop indigenous vendors to reduce spare part dependency and control operation & maintenance costs. Drive continuous improvement initiatives for process automation and operational excellence.
