Vedanta is a $30bn revenue and $10bn in profit organization and further plans to invest $20bn in 4-5 years’ time in the expansion of their brown field and some green field capacity of Oil & Gas, Renewable energy, display glass, semiconductor, mining and smelting.

Vedanta’s Sesa Goa Business caters to the requirements of the Iron & Steel supply chain. We produce Iron Ore, Pig Iron and Coke. It comprises of Iron Ore Goa, Iron Ore Karnataka, Iron Ore Odisha, Value Added Business, Sesa Cement and Sesa Coke - Gujarat & Maharashtra. The Sector has a unique competitive advantage of having operations in 5 States.

The Value-Added Business is now marching into its new phase of growth by setting up a Ductile Iron Plant at Amona Goa with Capacity of 0.42 MTPA that will make VAB a $1Bn revenue business and further strengthen its presence into the Iron and Steel Industry.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensure smooth Power Plant operation by setting clear performance targets, reviewing progress, and ensuring resource optimization to meet business goals within cost, safety, and time limits.
• Overseeing O&M function along with outsourced business partner for delivering KPI’s and develop short- and long-term strategies to maintain continuous engineering competence to boost equipment performance and reduce waste.
• Operate power plant at maximum PLF and lowest cost.
• Manage the ESG and safety aspects of power plants as per Vedanta standards and benchmark against best-in-class companies.
• Track costs and performance via weekly budget reviews, optimized use of consumables and spares, and resource planning to align COP with BP targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and ensure implementation of legal framework and liaising with Statutory bodies for compliance pertaining to IE/ CEA regulations, boilers act, and factories act to ensure sustainability of plant operations.
• Benchmarking for best practices with other power plants across country to ensure operations are in line with industry best KPIs.

The Successful Candidate:

• Experience – 12+ years of experience
• Qualifications – B.Tech/B.E. Electrical/Electronics
