Position: Business Development Sales Manager Financial Applications

Acuity Software Technologies is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Sales Manager to lead and drive the growth of our innovative financial applications. This key role is essential to strengthening our sales pipeline and achieving significant business expansion. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of market trends, evolving business technology, and strategic sales techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Generation & Prospecting:

    • Identify and engage potential clients and partners through networking, cold calling, social media, and referrals.
    • Qualify leads to ensure alignment with the companys target market and sales objectives.
  2. Sales Pipeline Development:

    • Proactively build and manage a robust sales pipeline to fuel consistent business growth in the UK region.
  3. Client Relationship Management:

    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, driving strategic engagement and maximising client satisfaction.
  4. Collaboration with Sales Team:

    • Provide strategic insights, resources, and opportunities to help the sales team close deals more efficiently.
    • Mentor and guide team members on client engagement strategies and sales best practices.
  5. Sales Performance Tracking & Reporting:

    • Track sales performance against targets and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
    • Utilise CRM tools to manage the sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and monitor progress toward goals.
    • Regularly report on sales metrics and performance to senior leadership.
  6. Market Research & Competitive Analysis:

    • Stay current with industry trends, customer behaviour, and market intelligence.
    • Identify emerging business opportunities and market segments to support growth.
  7. Cross-functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
    • Ensure alignment between departments to meet client needs and drive business objectives.
  8. Contract Negotiation & Deal Closure:

    • Lead the negotiation process to secure mutually beneficial terms for both clients and the company.
    • Close sales deals effectively and ensure smooth post-sales support for continued client satisfaction.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Sales & Negotiation Expertise:

    Demonstrated ability to close high-value deals and negotiate favourable terms.
  • Exceptional Communication:

    Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging with clients and coordinating with internal teams.
  • Analytical Acumen:

    Ability to analyse data, trends, and market conditions to inform decision-making.
  • Relationship Building:

    Skilled in fostering and maintaining long-term professional relationships with clients.
  • Leadership Ability:

    Experience motivating and guiding a sales team toward achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Organisational Skills:

    Strong ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience & Education:

    • A background in business, marketing, or sales.
    • Minimum of 5-8 years in sales/business development, preferably in a leadership or managerial capacity.
    • Proficiency in CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing).
