Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Backend Engineering

Design and develop scalable, secure RESTful APIs using Node.js, Express, and MongoDB
Implement reusable service modules and data models, adhering to clean code principles
Optimize server-side logic for performance, fault-tolerance, and data integrity
Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, notification services, and platform tools
Collaborate with front-end and mobile teams to ensure seamless data exchange and performance

DevOps & Infrastructure

Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for staging and production using GitHub Actions / Jenkins
Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP / DigitalOcean), including EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda
Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (optional)
Monitor and automate server health, logging, and alerts using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or similar
Own system security, access controls, and cost optimization initiatives

Preferred candidate profile

5-8 years of experience in backend development with solid hands-on DevOps exposure
Strong problem-solving mindset with experience managing production-grade systems
Proven ability to automate deployment, testing, and monitoring pipelines
Comfortable owning infrastructure and server-side logic end-to-end
Experience working in a product-led or fast-paced startup environment is a big plus
