Automation Test Engineer

Job Description

ORG: AXA GBS Role: Automation Test Engineer Location: Bangalore/ Pune Work Mode: Hybrid (2 days WFO & 3 days WFH) RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber framework, and Java. Capable of handling and maintaining data driven/test driven automation framework Proficiency in programming languages like Java or Python, Java Scripts etc. Associate must have experience in Designing and creating automation test plans, test cases, and test scripts automation testing. Generate detailed test reports and metrices to communicate the status of test efforts to stakeholders. Collaborate with the development team to understand product requirements and create test cases for automation. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and automation best practices. Contribute to the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) process by integrating automated tests into the build pipeline. Investigate and troubleshoot issues found during automated testing, working closely with developers to resolve them. Maintain test environments and test data to ensure consistency and reliability of automated tests. Document test cases, test results, and automation processes for future reference. Contributing to the continuous improvement of the testing process and methodologies. Experience working in an Agile environment and working closely with all project stake holders. Knowledge in Defect Life Cycle and Test and Defect management tool like JIRA, HP ALM, Zephyr, and X-Ray. Experience in Web Services Testing (REST/SOAP) using test tool like Postman. Knowledge of insurance domain will be an added advantage. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automation testing tools and techniques Education and Certification Strong educational background with a degree preferably in IT or equivalent ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation level or equivalent Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Good Team Player/Analytical Skills/ Communication Skill 3-12 years of relevant experience in automation testing.
