Associate Researcher

Are you fascinated by how robots can learn and adapt optimally in complex environments?

The Human-interactive Robotics (HiRo) Lab at IISc is searching for a Researcher to join our team on a project focused on Optimal and Autonomous Control Using Reinforcement Learning.

This position is open to both Predocs (B.Tech or M.Tech) and Postdocs, with emoluments as per DST norms (https://lnkd.in/d4hzunec).

The role is for 1 year (starting ASAP), with a possibility of extension.

This project is centered on continuous-time RL applied to critical areas like robotics, human-robot interaction, manipulation, and learning from demonstration. We're looking for candidates with a strong academic background in relevant engineering fields and a good understanding of Continuous-time Optimal Control, Reinforcement Learning, Lyapunov stability, and Control Barrier Function (CBF) concepts.
