Associate Mechanical Design

As an Associate Mechanical Design Engineer at BU EFT, your main responsibilities include the realization of 3D models of mechanical components, 3D modeling of mechanical assemblies and machines, and execution of 2D drawings of mechanical components. You will be required to understand the function of the component in the assembling process to define proper drawing dimensioning and ensure the correctness of 3D models. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating 2D drawings of unfolded metal sheet parts and general assembly drawings of machines and sub-systems, including part lists and technical instructions. In terms of software skills, you should have a very good knowledge of 3D modeling software such as Creo Elements Direct Modeling 18.1 and Autodesk Inventor, as well as PDM systems like ECS and Autodesk Vault. Familiarity with SAP S/4 HANA is also required for tasks such as visualizing BoMs, conducting materials search, and drawings visualization. Your profile should demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English, including common technical language. Specific skills required for the role include a deep understanding of European Engineering Drawing and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Standards, knowledge of manufacturing processes for mechanical components, material selection based on functional requirements, and familiarity with European safety-related standards. Ideally, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and possess 5-8 years of experience in mechanical design, particularly in Machinery/Equipment design and sheet metal component design. Willingness to learn about Bakery Equipment and Processes, knowledge of CAD systems like Inventor, Vault Pro, and AutoCAD-Mechanical, and the ability to read Approved Design Specification Documents are also essential for this role. Being a team player with excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral, is crucial. Knowledge of Italian language is considered an added advantage.
