We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR. In this role, you will: Build a self-sustainable model that effectively utilize Observability toolset aligned to the Group TSA for Observability. Ensure the technology estate is compliant to the Group Standards and the Risk and Control KCIs. Ensure proper testing and implementation of vendor tools on the back of a vendor product upgrade. Maintain the technology inventory including licensing. Create an environment for innovation & adoption of emerging technologies (per the appetite of the organisation). Build a highly motivated and agile engineering team that is able to respond to stakeholder demand swiftly and appropriately leveraging the R&R framework in the organisation, Deliver the following through the team: o Onboarding of Observability Toolset (AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, etc.) for services in scope. o Enhancement of the Observability Toolset for performance and facilitating End User requirements o Observability Toolset that can provide meaningful insights and assist in handling any situation o Visualisation that services are able to consume (including infrastructure & application telemetry) o Design / deliver / maintain multiple Dashboards for WS Tech reporting Build strong relations with CTO Platforms and Tooling teams and act as a conduit for the services in CIB Wholesale Tech. Run the CIB Wholesale Tech Centre of Excellence for Observability including all value streams. Track progress against the plan, look ahead and remove roadblocks to delivery. Ask questions, take ownership of problems, and escalate when needed (remaining calm, knowing when to escalate, escalate with possible solutions) Manage Risks & Issues through appropriate tracking & involving key members of the portfolio / programme /project. Demonstrate agility when responding to customers needs. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: Proven experience in observability dashboard design/development, and an understanding of business workflows across Public and On-Prem containerized/microservice environments. Excellent working knowledge of key computer science & engineering concepts (networking, operating systems, virtualization, containerization, etc.). Strong hands-on experience on end-to-end observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics, ELK, Splunk, etc.) In-depth understanding of DevOps Tooling. Hands-on experience in CICD tools i.e. Jenkins, Ansible etc. Technical knowledge in design, development, Coding, testing and debugging for software. Excellent interpersonal skills, being able to manage the interactions with the teams and clients and ability to build & maintain relationships and work collaboratively across boundaries. Confident decision maker and demonstrates task and objective ownership. Experience in reviewing complex dependencies and responding to challenges while ensuring on-going delivery is in line with customers goals. Good technical, problem solving, lateral thinking, planning and interpersonal skills. Ability to think creatively to drive innovative solutions. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills in English and Ability to communicate with impact. Desired Skills: Proven experience in SLO\SLI creation. Experience with IAC automation and CI\CD pipeline creation and management. Experience of senior stakeholder management. Experience and knowledge in Financial Industry. .
