Must have skills : Commvault Backup Administration Good to have skills : NAMinimum 3 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary :As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as a software detective, providing a dynamic service that identifies and resolves issues within various components of critical business systems. Your typical day will involve collaborating with team members to troubleshoot problems, analyzing system performance, and ensuring the smooth operation of applications that are vital to business functions. You will engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide timely solutions, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization. Roles & Responsibilities:-Perform installation, configuration, and optimization of Backup infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability for backup and recovery.- Perform capacity planning and forecasting to support future data growth and license demand.- Analyze and implement data protection and disaster recovery strategies, including backup, replication, and failover solutions, leveraging the capabilities of Veritas NetBackup with Flex scale appliance, Nutanix based backup and Azure Backup.- Monitor Backup infrastructure health, performance, and utilization, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure uninterrupted operation.- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in backup technologies, evaluating and recommending new solutions and features to enhance the backup infrastructure.- Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate, procure, and implement hardware and software upgrades as needed.- Provide technical support and guidance to other IT teams and end-users, troubleshooting backup-related issues and providing timely resolutions.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business needs, translating them into technical requirements for backup solutions.- Knowledge of architectures, technologies, and protocols, including SAN, NAS, Fiber Channel, iSCSI, NFS, and CIFS.- Experience with virtualization, deduplication, compression, and other advanced backup features.- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex backup issues and perform root cause analysis.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and vendors.- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, groom team with knowledge and experience and manage multiple priorities with projects simultaneously. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Commvault Backup Administration.- Strong understanding of backup and recovery processes.- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving application issues.- Familiarity with system monitoring tools and performance tuning.- Ability to document processes and create user guides for application support.- Good understanding of datacenter and cloud infrastructure and experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS.- Experience in NetBackup, Azure Backup, Nutanix based Backup- Knowledge of scripting languages to perform administrative tasks.- Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident management.- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.- Client facing interaction. Additional Information:- The candidate should have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Veritas NetBackup on Flex scale appliance.- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.- A 15-year full time education is required.
