Role Purpose The purpose of the role is to provide effective technical support to the process and actively resolve client issues directly or through timely escalation to meet process SLAs. Role & responsibilities Design and develop scalable Appian applications using Appian BPM suite (including SAIL, Process Models, Rules, Reports, and Integrations). Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle including planning, design, implementation, testing, and deployment. Integrate Appian with external systems using REST, SOAP, RDBMS, and other integration patterns. Review code and provide feedback to junior developers and peers to ensure adherence to best practices and high-quality output. Key Responsibilities: Engage with business users and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements Collaborate with ISC and BPE teams to understand business processes and translate them into Appian solutions Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust applications using Appian BPM Replace and take over responsibilities from current gold-level Appian consultants on the project Lead or support solution design discussions with onshore leads based in the UK/NL Ensure adherence to development standards and best practices Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolutions Document design specifications, technical solutions, and user guides Participate in code reviews and ensure high code quality Stay current with Appian platform updates and proactively adopt relevant features Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience with Appian BPM Proven experience in client-facing roles and requirement gathering Strong understanding of business process modeling and process improvement Experience with Appian design patterns, objects, interfaces, and best practices Ability to work independently and replace senior consultants effectively Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Experience working in globally distributed teams, preferably with UK/NL teams Bonus: Knowledge or working experience with SAP or enterprise systems
