Job Description

Role


The Accounts and Admin Officer will be responsible :


  • For managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with internal and statutory requirements, and overseeing administrative tasks related to office functioning.

  • To oversee and supervise the administrative function of the organization including reception, property / facility management, safety of the work environment, and provision of furnishings and equipment necessary for effective operations


The role demands a high level of integrity, accuracy, and coordination skills.


Key Responsibilities


  • Accounting & Finance

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts in Tally.

  • Handle accounts payable and receivable processes.

  • Prepare vouchers, manage petty cash, and maintain supporting documents.

  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and audits.

  • Reconcile bank statements and prepare necessary reports.

  • As required, ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements (TDS, GST, PF, ESI, etc.).

  • Coordinate with the central finance team for budget tracking and fund requests.


  • Administration

  • Manage office supplies, equipment maintenance, and office upkeep.

  • Support in organizing meetings, travel arrangements, and logistics for staff and visitors.

  • Liaise with vendors and service providers for contracts, renewals, and payments, as required.

  • Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the office.


Requirements

Qualifications & Experience


Education**: M.Com/ B.Com or equivalent degree in Accounting or Finance.


Experience**: 5 or more years of relevant experience in accounting and office administration.


Essential Skills:


  • Proficiency in Tally ERP and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Working knowledge of statutory compliances and NGO accounting practices preferred.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities independently.


Desirable Attributes


  • Prior experience in the development/NGO sector is an advantage.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and support field-level operations.

  • High level of integrity, responsibility, and commitment to organizational goals.
