Smartphone Field Testing Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Field Testing:

  You'll conduct comprehensive field testing of smartphones and smartwatches to evaluate performance, connectivity, and user experience under real-world conditions. This also involves investigating and troubleshooting issues related to network connectivity, call quality, data transfer speeds, and other critical functionalities. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve field issues promptly.

• Log Analysis and Debugging:

  You'll utilize advanced logging tools like

  QxDM, QCAT, Wireshark, STT, and ELT

  to analyze device logs and pinpoint the root causes of performance issues. Additionally, you'll debug complex technical problems and propose effective solutions.

• 3GPP Standards:

  You'll need a deep understanding of

  3GPP specifications for 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies

  , ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Reporting and Documentation:

  You'll prepare detailed test reports, summarizing test results, findings, and recommendations. You'll also effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Team Collaboration:

  You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and customer support, to ensure timely resolution of field issues, contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in smartphone field testing.

• Strong understanding of

  3GPP specifications for 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  Android and iOS devices

  , including smartphones and smartwatches.
• Proficiency in using

  log analysis tools

  like QxDM, QCAT, Wireshark, STT, and ELT.
• Excellent

  problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
