Safety Executive role:

Key Responsibilities (KRAs):Promote a Zero-Incident Culture:Drive safety awareness and proactive incident prevention across the plant.EHS Training:Deliver comprehensive EHS induction to new employees and regular training for existing staff.Plant Safety Audits:Conduct frequent plant audits to identify, report, and mitigate safety hazards.Lean & Safety Systems Knowledge:Apply basic concepts of 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement for safer work environments.PPE Compliance:Ensure proper use and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) throughout the facility.Statutory & Legal Compliance:Monitor and ensure timely compliance with all statutory and legal EHS requirements.HIRA & AIA Implementation:Perform Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA) and Activity Impact Assessment (AIA) for both routine and non-routine activities in the plant.Work Permit System:Oversee the implementation and monitoring of the Work Permit System and ensure corrective action for any non-compliance.Safety Committee & Emergency Preparedness:Conduct regular safety committee meetings, mock drills, and scheduled inspections of tools, tackles, and safety equipment.Reporting & Safety MIS:Prepare reports on safety incidents, near misses, and provide statistical Safety MIS to management.On-Site Safety Monitoring:Carry out daily safety inspections, safety surveys, and observe work practices for at-risk behaviors.Key Skills & Attributes:Strong understanding of EHS statutory requirementsExperience in chemical/paint/lubricant industry preferredGood communication and presentation skillsKnowledge of safety inspection techniques, work permit systems, and emergency responseDetail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
