VMC Operator

Job description

We are seeking a skilled CNC/VMC operator to set up, operate, and maintain CNC (Computer Numerical Control) and VMC (Vertical Machining Center) machines. The ideal candidate should have experience in precision machining, tool setting, and quality control to ensure production efficiency and product accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation: Set up and operate CNC/VMC machines as per production requirements.
• Program Execution: Load and execute pre-written CNC programs and make minor adjustments if necessary.
• Tooling Setup: Install and adjust tools, cutters, and fixtures to ensure proper machining operations.
• Quality Inspection: Conduct measurements using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify part dimensions.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve machine malfunctions, tool wear, and production defects.
• Maintenance: Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean.
• Production Efficiency: Ensure production targets are met with minimal waste and high-quality output.
• Documentation: Maintain logs of machine settings, output, and quality reports.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and company guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Educational Qualification: ITI/diploma in mechanical engineering, tool & die making, or a related field.
• Experience: Fresher/Experience in CNC/VMC machine operations.
