Were looking for a visionary who can bring together spatial design and visual storytelling to
craft beautiful, functional, and emotionally resonant retail experiences. This unique role
combines Store Design and Visual Merchandisingallowing you to own how the HUFT story
comes alive across every touchpoint in our stores.
From the way a customer walks through the door to how a tail wags at the treat aisleevery
detail matters. And you’ll be the one to shape it.
• Plan and design thoughtful layouts for HUFT stores, pop-ups, and renovations that
prioritize ease, warmth, and the joy of discovery.
• Create 3D renders, mood boards, and technical drawings that capture our brand soul
and customer flow.
• Reimagine existing stores to reflect evolving design sensibilities and pet-parent needs.
• Work with vendors and contractors to bring ideas to life—on time, on brand, and full
of heart.
• Build seasonal VM strategies that transform product displays into invitations to
connect—with the brand, the pet, and the moment.
• Lead all visual rollouts—from new store setups to festive windows and campaign
integrations.
• Guide regional and store teams to bring consistent, creative execution to life across
cities.
• Mentor a team of designers and VMs who care deeply about the customer and the
craft.
• Build easy-to-follow toolkits, VM guides, and display SOPs to ensure every store looks
and feels like HUFT.
• Collaborate with Retail, Marketing, Projects, and Merchandising to deliver end-to-end
store experiences that are both commercially strong and emotionally engaging.
Create Experiences That Reflect the HUFT Mission
• Design for pets and people, always keeping pets' comfort and parents' convenience at
the core.
• Explore sustainable materials, smart fixtures, and sensory elements that reflect our
values.
• Keep learning and evolving by staying updated on global trends in retail, pet care, and
experiential design.
• A degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Visual Merchandising, or Retail Design.
• 6+ years of experience in store design and/or visual merchandising, ideally in lifestyle,
pet care, or home retail.
• A strong portfolio of work that blends aesthetics, functionality, and emotional impact.
• Proficiency in design tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• An understanding of pet parents and a love for animals—because our customers can
sense when it’s real.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel across cities for store visits, rollouts, and training.
