Role & responsibilities To perform final assembly Manufacturing feasibility, planning and support program implementation. Advance Manufacturing Engineer works closely with cross functional teams like, Product Design Engineering, Facility, MP&L and Plant Engineering Team to validate Design and assembly feasibility for New Product Launch. Advance ME has to Identify the assembly, Labor, Tooling cost saving opportunities, design commonization, complexity reduction, Facility Hardpoints & Facility re-usability opportunities during the design phase. Create, modify and update program specific process sheets DPA5 Perform checks Raise part/process issues as identified to program Re-perform checks as D&R CAD matures through UNV2 Support in establishing virtual build sequence P-Release Conduct ergonomic evaluations and deliver corrective actions as required Lead identification, resolution, and closure of Mfg. feasibility issues. Complete design phase Health Chart assessments Write/modify/maintain process sheets (SOW) and deliver updated Cycle Line Layouts. Failure Mode (PFMEA) creation and updates to manage RPN risk. Support Special Characteristics Cascade and Agreement Form (SCCAF) development and sign-off Interface with Design and Release activities. Deliver cycle line layouts and work with the assembly plants to have a complete operator/equipment workstation ready for launch. Develop program cost analysis, tooling design and build SOW Define tooling needs DC and pneumatic tooling Fixtured tooling and lift assists Identify ergo tooling needs Major equipment and / or automation needs Pallets, details, and subassembly build-up conveyance Error proofing Develop "Lessons Learned" from New Model launches and implement Prevent Reoccurrence Actions into future programs. Skills Required: Experience in Automotive/Manufacturing Engineering preferred. Familiarity with Siemens Process Simulation Preferred candidate profile

What you bring to the team Mandatory Technical Skills: - Extensive knowledge on the Hitachi Storage arrays which include HUS, VSP, VSP G Series, VSP F Series, HNAS, HCP. - Expert level knowledge on Hitachi tools like Tuning Manager,Command Suite, Ops center,Storage Navigator HORCM, CCI, etc. - In-depth knowledge on Configuring and Managing replication (Shadow image/COW, True Copy, HUR), GAD, HORCM. - In-depth knowledge on Virtualization & Migration techniques (NDM and UVM). - Installing, configuring, managing & Upgrading HCS, Opscenter and Tuning Manager tools. - Performance Analysis, Troubleshooting and Problem determination using Opscenter Analyser and Hitachi Tuning manager. - Knowledge on Opsramp monitoring and ServiceNOW. - Experience in verification/validation and planning for required patches / microcode upgrade. - Hands on experience in configuring and managing the RAID Groups, Storage pools and Storage tiering. - Understanding and having good knowledge on performance analysis using Brocade network advisor and CLI. - In-depth understanding on SAN fabric, Virtual Fabric (VSAN), FCIP Configuration & management and Host to SAN connectivity. - Knowledge on configuring SAN Switches, adding new switch to an existing fabric (ISL & ICL), merging switch fabrics, Trunking, Switch Migrations & Code upgrades. - Experience in working with multiple vendors to resolve complex technical problems. - Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis on storage issues. - Able to assist Team Members, Mentor New Joiners in the team and Perform as an Individual Contributor. - Ability to understand Business requirements & translate them into technology solutions, Implement Best Practices. - Ownership of Infrastructure and responsible for service uptime / availability - Prepare / Maintain SOPs and Operational Run books, follow ITIL processes - Incident management, Problem management, Change management, Performance management, Capacity management, Configuration & availability management activities - Participate in Change & release management - Plan & Implement routine, normal & complex changes - Participate in CAB and TAB - Knowledge about using ticketing system for daily operations - ServiceNow - Ability to lead escalations - within Storage and cross platform - Participate or lead storage projects independently. Create and manage process structure , resource allocation , and 3D layout validation in Teamcenter Manufacturing . Conduct ergonomic simulations and human factors analysis using digital human modeling tools (e.g., Jack, Process Simulate Human). Perform Digital Mock-Up (DMU) analysis using Vismockup for assembly sequence visualization and clash detection. Collaborate with product design teams to provide Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFM/A) input. Generate and optimize standard work instructions (SWIs) , operation sequences , and line balancing . Lead virtual builds and assembly feasibility studies to identify potential risks early in the product lifecycle. Participate in process FMEA, safety studies, and reviews to ensure production readiness. Interface with cross-functional teams including design engineering, tooling, production, logistics, and quality. Required Qualifications: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering , Industrial Engineering , Manufacturing Engineering , or related discipline. 3+ years of experience in assembly process planning or virtual manufacturing engineering . Proficiency in: Teamcenter Manufacturing / PLM for process planning Vismockup / 3D Digital Mock-Up tools for assembly and service access validation
