About the Role

Epic Owl is looking for a creative, fast, and detail-oriented Video Editor who specializes in short-form content for social media platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. We work with creators, coaches, and online brands who rely on punchy, highly engaging content to grow. Your job? Turn talking-head videos into thumb-stopping social content.

Responsibilities

• Edit short-form videos per month (15–60 seconds)
• Add captions manually with dynamic motion & animation
• Apply fast cuts, zooms, motion effects, GIFs, emojis, and stock B-roll
• Design scroll-stopping hooks in the first 3 seconds
• Sync edits with audio and speech for maximum engagement
• Maintain brand consistency in fonts, colors, and energy across edits

Requirements

• Proficient in Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut Pro, or Final Cut Pro
• Strong grasp of motion graphics and kinetic typography
• Experience editing short-form social content for Reels, TikTok, or ads
• Able to meet quick turnaround times
• Thumbnail or carousel design skills
• Basic color grading and audio cleanup
• Familiarity with Meta/TikTok ad creatives
• Trend-savvy and understands algorithm-friendly editing techniques
