As a Lead Manager Mechanical specializing in Water, Effluent & Sewage treatment plants, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of Mechanical Engineers. Your primary role will involve leading the design development of Mechanical components in projects related to Water, Effluent & Sewage treatment. You will play a crucial part in planning engineering deliverables, resource allocation, and collaborating with other disciplines to ensure proper integration of mechanical systems. Additionally, you will be tasked with reviewing and validating design deliverables, as well as driving continuous improvement in team productivity and skill development. A key requirement for this role is hands-on experience in Water, Effluent & Sewage treatment plants, Transmission & distribution pipeline projects in the Middle East and Africa region. Your core responsibility will involve leading a team of mechanical engineers in liaising with consultants and clients for the approval of engineering deliverables and material submittals. You should also have experience in engaging with international vendors for evaluating and selecting various mechanical equipment. To qualify for this position, you must hold a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 12-15 years of experience in Mechanical engineering, including at least 3-5 years in a leadership role. Advanced knowledge of Mechanical engineering principles, international codes such as ASME, BS EN, ISO, QCS, NWC, and proficiency in Plant engineering for tasks like preparing plant layouts, GA drawings, Piping layout, and Pipeline drawings are essential. Moreover, expertise in hydraulics & transient analysis using software like WaterGEMS, WaterHammer, SAP, and experience in reviewing related reports and stress analysis reports (CAESAR II) will be beneficial. Participation in workshops like HAZOP with clients and consultants, proficiency in Vendor engineering by reviewing offers, conducting technical comparisons, and recommending mechanical equipment to the Procurement team are also required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to mentor and develop team members, an innovative mindset for design optimization and continuous improvement are additional qualities that we are looking for in the ideal candidate. Preferred industry experience in Water & Effluent treatment, Oil & Gas industries is desirable for this role.,

Supporting site execution teams, leading vendor evaluations, facilitating communication with suppliers, and obtaining resource requirements for projects are also part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this position, you should hold a B.E. / B. Tech. in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Technical expertise required includes a thorough understanding of primary and secondary engineering for substation projects, proficiency in selecting equipment, knowledge of substation primary and secondary design, and familiarity with interfaces between Civil, MEP & Instrumentation. You should also have a detailed understanding of project execution for different geographies/clients/utilities and interpret contractual technical requirements effectively. Your operating network will include internal stakeholders such as the Head of Engineering, Inter-discipline Heads, Project Execution team, Supply Chain Management team, Quality team, and Contracts team. Externally, you will engage with customers (Engineering team), clients (Project Management team), and vendors (Engineering & Quality team).
