Inspects and performs preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to a wide variety of mechanical and electronic equipment, e.g., disassembles, cleans, lubricates, and replaces equipment parts as needed; makes minor mechanical repairs; 2. Monitors equipment and takes reading at designated intervals; tracks the status of the system and prepares reports that account for equipment performance; 3. Records and reports defects or failures in gas, electricity or water; immediately responds and reports water and gas; 4. Performs laboratory water chemistry testing and chemical treatment for all systems; 5. Extracts samples and performs routine laboratory tests; documents and certifies the test results; 6. Performs change-out of chemical containers as needed; 7. Performs scheduled plant inspections, and records observations in the facility logbook; 8. Monitors system performance and starts and stops equipment as required; 9. Ensures the plant’s utilities are properly functioning to receive steam, chilled water, hot water, compressed air, electricity, and gas; 10. Maintains corrosion protection, reduce scaling in boilers and ensures bacteria levels are maintained at safe levels; 11.
