Technical Lead- SDET

You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality and functionality of software applications. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product owners, is essential to understand requirements and design effective testing strategies. You will assist the Automation Framework lead in managing and maintaining a scalable automated test framework using qTest, Tosca, and relevant testing tools. Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using appropriate bug tracking systems and working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution is a key part of the role. Conducting root cause analysis of issues and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences is also crucial. Continuous improvement and optimization of the test automation process, tools, and methodologies are expected. Mentoring and providing guidance to junior members of the QA team, promoting best practices, and maintaining high-quality standards is also part of the responsibilities. Staying current with emerging trends, technologies, and industry best practices in software testing and quality assurance is necessary. Collaboration with stakeholders to define and measure key quality metrics and providing regular reports on the status of test efforts is also part of the role. Flexibility to work on stories across projects and with various project leads is required. Learning the application system deep enough to provide root cause analysis while reporting the bug, developing scripts that perform well and can run in parallel for faster delivery, and working towards the team goal of in-sprint automation are also expected. A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field is required for this role. Proven experience as an SDET or similar role, with a focus on software testing and automation, is essential. Knowledge in Selenium Java, Salesforce Service Cloud, and Salesforce Commerce Cloud is also necessary. Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium or Appium, proficiency in test automation tools, version control systems, and bug tracking tools are required. A solid understanding of software development methodologies, Agile practices, and QA processes is crucial. The ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts are key attributes for this role.,
