Team Leader

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals, ensuring that all objectives and goals are met efficiently and on time.
  • Monitor and optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee procurement, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and distribution operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, finance, and operations) to align supply chain strategies with business objectives.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Develop, implement, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve team and departmental performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all supply chain operations.
  • Identify potential risks within the supply chain process and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on supply chain performance, highlighting issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement new technologies, tools, and best practices to drive efficiency and innovation in the supply chain process.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Masters degree is a plus).
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and order fulfillment.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various departments, suppliers, and external partners.
  • Proficient in using supply chain management software and tools (ERP systems, inventory management systems, etc.).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a focus on meeting deadlines.
