Supplier Quality Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Sound commodity and technical knowledge in automobiles Body/Chassis Commodity like- Brake systems, suspensions, Steering Systems, Axles, Driveshafts, Exhaust systems, Fuel Tank, Brake pipes, Tyres
• Sound knowledge on casting tooling, machining process and part development
• Lead APQP meetings and drive Parts development from Sourcing to PPAP signoff and drive open issue resolution for on-time product launch
• Conduct process audits on Machining, Heat treatment, Ferrous and Nonferrous castings, Forgings including CQI 9, CQI 27 audits
• Drive supplier for build / inline and warranty issues problem resolution using problem Reporting and Resolution methodology
• Lead new supplier development, Facilities, Tooling and gauges development / delivery tracking and support supplier technically during industrialisation phase
• Conduct supplier assessment and evaluation audits like Pre-Sourcing audit, Manufacturing & Site Assessment
• Support purchase for sourcing assessment and provide inputs related to process VA/VE during development
• Conduct supplier evaluation and supplier assessment audits / control plant audits and CQI special process audits where necessary
• Conduct supplier capacity assessment and cycle time calculation during development

Preferred candidate profile

• Good team player, Interpersonal Skills, willing to travel extensively to suppliers
• Good knowledge of various manufacturing and assembly processes
• Good Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, Supplier Audits, QC tools, MSA, SPC
