Job Description

The Supply Network Quality (SNQ) organization, belonging to Volvo Group Purchasing, is driving thesupply partner base towards premium automotive quality standards and world-class performance. Requirements
The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible to perform quality assurance activities with externalsupply network partners of Volvo Group in order to secure purchased components meet designspecifications. We look for a candidate who enjoys the varying tasks of an SQE role, has strongcommitment, works well both alone and in teams and can handle a high pace. Since travelling to supplynetwork partners is a frequent activity, our candidate enjoys travelling and meeting new people, shallmaster communication both written and spoken and being able to handle multiple simultaneous projects

Main Responsibilities

Manage portfolio of Iron casting supply network partners, responsible for the complete quality ofparts
Early involvement in supply network partner selection process
Ensure APQP is performed and proceeding in accordance to required project timing and the risks aremitigated
Verify and lead all APQP deliverables and approve PPAP submissions and tooling
Secure the capacity ramp up plan and implement Firewall / Pre-launch controls to ensure smoothSOP launch
Drive the Quality concerns raised from Volvo plants with quick containment secure the corrective andpermanent / preventive actions
Lead transformation activities on sustainability and digitalization within SNQ
Lead the evaluation and continuous improvement of supply network partners

Competence and Experience

Bachelors / Masters in Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering or related fields
4-8 years of relevant experience in supplier quality preferably from Automotive background
Strong technical knowledge and manufacturing know how on iron casting and machined components
Continuous improvement mindset
Problem solving and Solution oriented mindset
Ability to work and deliver results independently
Strong networking and collaboration skills
Excellent communication and analytical skills
