Job Description

As a Senior Product Engineer at AGCO, you will play a crucial role in addressing the world's most pressing challenges such as feeding the growing population and mitigating climate change. AGCO is on a mission to make a difference, and your expertise is needed to contribute to this meaningful cause. In this role, you will be responsible for leading structural design efforts within the tractor design team. Working under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, you will ensure the seamless integration of subsystems and components to optimize vehicle performance. Your innovative approach and engineering skills will be instrumental in driving excellence in tractor design. Your primary responsibilities will include designing and developing cast components using CAD tools, focusing on manufacturability and performance. You will collaborate with product development teams to define casting requirements early in the design phase and conduct tolerance stack-ups, GD&T, and design reviews for casting geometry and function. Additionally, you will be involved in feasibility studies, working closely with foundries to evaluate tooling, process capabilities, and materials, and utilizing casting simulation software to validate solidification, flow, and porosity. Moreover, you will drive design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for cost (DFC) principles, support supplier selection, tooling development, and pre-production builds, and analyze test and validation data to ensure product launch and continuous improvement. Collaborating with quality, purchasing, and operations teams, you will ensure that casting quality and performance goals are met while maintaining technical documentation, specifications, and design standards. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, along with experience in casting design, tooling, and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in CREO software, knowledge of casting simulation tools, and FEA software will be advantageous, and strong problem-solving skills are essential. At AGCO, we value diversity, inclusion, and innovation. We are committed to building a diverse workforce that brings various experiences, backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives together to drive positive impact in agriculture. Join us in shaping the future of agriculture and making a difference by applying now.
