Job Description

Role & responsibilities To look after the Safety, Health & Environment of all plant's Men, Machines & Materials and constantly monitor all Environmental related issues while assisting the management for complying with all legal requirements from time to time Identify Hazards (daily) in and around the workplace and suggest corrective measures to help management create a safe working environment. Promote Safe Acts and abstain from working under unsafe working conditions” while Identifying engineering controls and ensure implementation of safety during commencement of production batches. Monitoring, maintain & assist in procurement of Fire Equipments e.g. Fire Extinguishers, Fire Hydrant system and suggest departments for appropriate PPEs according to the process. Planning, scheduling and ensuring implementation of safety inspections [Safety Patrol] and audits of the facility [Machine Safety Audits], Industrial Hygiene and sanitation management and prepare & maintain records and necessary follow-ups. Plan, coordinate and conduct Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) committee meetings, prepare MOM’s and ensure the compliance of decisions taken on its behalf. Liaison with government agency EHS. Primarily responsible for EHS functions of the plant like Maintaining & compliances of Safety, Environment, ISO, OHSAS standards, Accident, Analysis, Safety training, safety audits, Liaisoning with authorities, plant Coordination etc. To formulate and design the structure of EHS system and drive the Implementation of the system at the plant. To facilitate / coordinate for training and educational programs for employees / staff members on various aspects of EHS and create and drive awareness among them Strive to achieve “Zero accident” every day by promoting appropriate EHS practices and ensuring periodic upgradation & Upkeep of the right Safety Equipment on site. Ensure Fulfilment of legal requirements and adherence to compliances at all times Assist in SHE Audits / Reviews and handle the documentation and reports aspects. Monitoring and measurement of Fire protection system. Drive the implementation of EHS system at Anchor To design and conduct safety awareness among members / provide information about safety through Safety Trainings, Display of Safety posters and other safety promotion items.
