Position Summary: The Functional Area Expert (FAE) is an empaneled position responsible for providing expert guidance and oversight on Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) within the organization. The role involves evaluating the environmental implications of proposed projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and preparing EIA/EMP reports. This position requires a deep understanding of environmental laws, policies, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to mitigate environmental risks. Experience : Alternatively, professionals with 3+ years of experience as a Functional Area Expert (FAE) in at least one of the following areas such as Soil Conservation (SC), Socio Economics (SE) Air Pollution (AP) and Noise & Vibration (NV). Key Responsibilities: Stay updated with the latest technical standards, tools, and regulatory updates in your area of expertise. Ensure quality assurance of baseline data through site and laboratory visits, as applicable. Contribute to methodology development for baseline studies, especially for SE and SC. Analyze project-specific data to identify potential impacts and mitigation strategies. Assist in preparing the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and post-project monitoring framework. Ensure compliance with all Terms of Reference (ToR) issued by MoEFCC/SEIAA relevant to your functional area. Working Conditions: Empaneled / Remote / WFH and occasional visit to Chennai if required.

Position Summary The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Coordinator shall be NABET accredited and will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of Environmental Impact Assessments for Building & Construction and Township & Area Development projects. This role involves overseeing the entire EIA processfrom planning and execution to report submission and regulatory approvalwhile working closely with Functional Area Experts (FAEs) and team members. The EIA Coordinator ensures that environmental considerations are integrated into project planning and decision-making, in alignment with legal requirements and best practices. Experience Candidates recently accredited as EIA Coordinators by NABET are preferred. Alternatively, professionals with 3+ years of experience as a Functional Area Expert (FAE) in at least one of the following areasWater Pollution or Municipal Solid Wastemay be considered for fresh accreditation as an EIA Coordinator. Key Responsibilities EIA Coordinator The EIA Coordinator must have a strong understanding of environmental regulations, particularly the EIA Notification. Responsibilities include: Understanding environmental settings such as topography, hydrology, streams, habitation, vegetation, and land use based on spatial data. Conducting site inspections and due diligence analyses. Explaining local environmental issues to clients, including physical, ecological, socioeconomic, cultural, historical, and aesthetic aspects. Preparing the Terms of Reference (ToR) and Form I with the project proponent and attending ToR presentations. Coordinating presentations before the Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC) or State Expert Appraisal Committee (SEAC). Coordinating with accredited laboratories for baseline data collection post-ToR issuance from MoEFCC/SEACs and ensuring data quality through standard procedures. Defining the methodology for EIA report preparation and highlighting specific project-related issues. Visiting the site for appropriate durations to select sampling locations and determine sampling types. Developing the Environmental Management Plan (EMP), including implementation and monitoring strategies. Presenting the EIA report before the EAC/SEAC, along with the project proponent, for environmental clearance.
