As the Development Manager, you will work closely with Engineering Teams to ensure the implementation of software with high quality and within the specified timelines. Your responsibilities will include instilling best practices for software development and documentation, verifying that designs meet requirements, and delivering top-notch work under tight schedules. Additionally, you will support Engineering teams in problem-solving, solutioning, hands-on implementation, and troubleshooting. You will collaborate regularly with Senior Stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Application Support, spanning multiple locations. This will involve working on complex, global engineering projects to ensure alignment in architecture, coordination among team members, and adherence to implementation timelines. Furthermore, you will be tasked with managing complex Stakeholder and Engineer team interactions, providing options and solutions to facilitate the delivery of high-quality software. In this role, you will handle multitasking across various functions such as Product, Development, QA, Automation, Release, DevOps, and Agile. Your objective will be to ensure software delivery aligns with business expectations. You are expected to excel in team building by hiring top talent across Development, QA, Automation, Release Engineering, and DevOps. You will play a crucial role in enabling technology modernization and process optimization across teams by leveraging cutting-edge technologies like Containerization/Kubernetes, Kafka, and Generative AI. Furthermore, supporting the growth of engineers through career management, goal setting, individual development plans, and performance reviews will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Your expertise will be essential in assessing compliance, risks, and vulnerabilities to maintain operational excellence, scalability, and exceed customer expectations. Effective communication regarding changes in milestones or challenges that may impact project completion dates will also be a critical part of your role. To be successful in this position, you must have at least 12 years of overall IT experience along with a degree in Computer Science/Engineering. Additionally, you should possess significant experience in managing teams, collaborating with Senior Stakeholders, and working across various functions. Hands-on experience with Legacy Distributed Systems and expertise in technologies like Java, Microservices, REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS will be crucial for this role.
