Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Solar Design Engineer to lead the technical planning and design of rooftop solar PV systems. The ideal candidate will ensure that all designs meet performance expectations, regulatory standards, and aesthetic considerations while optimizing cost and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and cost estimation of rooftop solar projects for C&I clients, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, quality, safety, and aesthetic standards.

• Conduct comprehensive site assessments, including shadow analysis and roof structure evaluations.

• Perform system sizing, configuration, and energy yield simulations using solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, SketchUp).

• Prepare system layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and detailed electrical and structural drawings.

• Estimate material quantities, project costs, and prepare accurate Bills of Materials (BoM).

• Draft and present techno-commercial proposals to clients.

• Ensure all designs comply with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and utility standards.

• Collaborate closely with procurement, execution, and O&M teams for seamless project delivery.

• Stay informed on the latest solar technologies, government policies, and subsidy programs.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the management.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).

• 2 5 years of hands-on experience in rooftop solar PV system design and engineering.

• Strong proficiency in PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope, SketchUp, and related design tools.

• Excellent understanding of electrical systems, structural design, and rooftop installation methodologies.

• Familiarity with local electrical codes, MNRE, and IEC standards.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
