Job Description

As a Software Engineer II in the Mastercard Artificial Intelligence & Decision Product Enablement (AI & DPE) team, you will play a crucial role in enabling intelligent decision-based products through real-time and near real-time streaming analytics. Your responsibilities will include owning software delivery tasks at an application/software component level, participating in team prioritization discussions, troubleshooting and refactoring existing code, and influencing team decisions. You will also be expected to adopt new languages and architecture patterns as required for the work and assist peers and less experienced team members. To excel in this role, you should have 3-5 years of overall experience in Full Stack Development with hands-on experience in Angular or React. Strong Java Backend skills are essential, including proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices. Your expertise in full stack development, Java (J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA), web technologies (Angular, React, Javascript, jQuery, CSS, HTML), C, C++, Node.JS, Jenkins, MSSQL, GIT, Unix, Windows, and databases like Postgres and MSSQL will be critical. You should demonstrate the ability to quickly learn technical product knowledge, understand the product development lifecycle, and have experience working on large-scale enterprise initiatives. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for conveying messages at different levels within the organization. Your proactive and highly motivated attitude will contribute to the success of the team and product. A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering is preferred for this position. You should also have comprehensive experience in agile delivery methodologies and CI/CD, as well as a deep understanding of platform integration patterns and organizational capabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring information security by abiding by Mastercard's security policies, maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of accessed information, reporting any suspected security violations or breaches, and completing mandatory security trainings as per Mastercard guidelines. Operating with independence and autonomy, you will design and implement shared web service platforms with front-end and back-end capabilities to provide technical solutions to customer problems.
