About Our Founders: Bright was established in 2019 by a team of founders with backgrounds in McKinsey's Banking Practice (Petko Plachkov and Avi Patchava) and InMobi Data Scientist (Avi Patchava, Varun Modi, Avinash Ramakath, Jayashree Merwade). Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable components for Bright's Smart Banking Platform using Django/Python. - Develop smart algorithms and subsystems for lending and financial communications to the user. - Propose quick and efficient design solutions to intricate engineering problems. - Make data-driven decisions and utilize analytical skills effectively. - Take end-to-end ownership of tech systems and microservices. Required Skills: - Proficient in first principles problem-solving. - Experience in integrating and developing REST services over backend frameworks like Django and Node.js. - Strong command of algorithms and data structures. - Demonstrated ability to impart knowledge through mentoring, code reviews, design document reviews, technical talks, teaching, or consulting on projects. - Skilled in high-level and low-level design and developing scalable software systems. - Previous exposure to Python-based frameworks. - 3-5 years of proven software development experience. - Experience in working with Relational or NoSQL databases at scale. Preferred Skill Sets: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience. - Over 3 years of Django development experience. - Familiarity with CI/CD frameworks. - Deployment experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure. - Demonstrated excellence in competitive programming.
