As a ServiceNow Developer specializing in IT Asset Management (ITAM), your primary responsibility will be to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for developing and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform. Working closely with business analysts and stakeholders, you will design and develop ServiceNow applications and modules, ensuring they align with best practices and industry standards. Your expertise in ITAM concepts, such as asset discovery, procurement, software license management, and lifecycle management, will be crucial in customizing and configuring workflows, forms, scripts, and other components of ServiceNow. Your role will involve developing and configuring ServiceNow modules specifically related to IT Asset Management, including Asset, Configuration, Contract, and Procurement Management. You will also be responsible for configuring and maintaining ServiceNow Discovery and Software Asset Management (SAM) modules to ensure accurate asset information and license compliance. Integration with other IT systems, such as Configuration Management Databases (CMDBs), help desk systems, and procurement systems, will be essential for optimizing asset management capabilities. Continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends, ServiceNow updates, and ITAM best practices will be key in enhancing our asset management solutions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, participation in testing and quality assurance activities, documentation of technical specifications, user guides, and test plans, as well as providing ongoing support and maintenance for ServiceNow applications, will be integral parts of your role. Additionally, training end-users and support teams on new features and functionality will be necessary to ensure a smooth transition and effective utilization of the ServiceNow platform. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and have proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer with expertise in platform configurations and customizations. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and collaboration skills, proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web technologies, as well as familiarity with ServiceNow integrations and web services are essential. ServiceNow certification(s) would be advantageous in demonstrating your proficiency in the platform.
