Description
As a skilled and experienced Service Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PBX systems. Your expertise will be crucial in handling PBX systems from brands such as Panasonic, NEC, Matrix, and Grandstream, alongside possessing a strong networking knowledge. Your key responsibilities will include installing, configuring, and maintaining various PBX systems, troubleshooting issues related to call routing, line faults, and system errors, performing system upgrades, routine maintenance, and backups, integrating PBX systems with VoIP, SIP trunks, and network setups, providing technical support on-site and remotely for clients, diagnosing and resolving networking issues concerning PBX systems like LAN/WAN configurations, IP phones setup, and firewall settings, maintaining service records and technical documentation, coordinating with vendors and clients to ensure smooth project delivery, and offering basic user training for PBX operations. To excel in this role, you are required to hold a Diploma/Degree in Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Science, or a related field, backed by 8-10+ years of hands-on experience with PBX systems particularly from Panasonic, NEC, Matrix, and Grandstream. A strong understanding of IP networking, routers, switches, and firewalls is essential, along with excellent troubleshooting skills for both PBX and network issues. You should also be familiar with VoIP, SIP protocol, and cloud telephony solutions, possess good verbal and written communication skills, and have the ability to work independently and manage field service visits effectively.
