Senior Systems Operations Analyst

As a Senior Analyst in Nasdaq's Technical Operations team, your primary responsibility will be to manage daily technical operations and application support for all Nasdaq-provided services. This includes round-the-clock technical operations, incident management for internal and external customers, installation of application updates, and maintenance of operational documentation and procedures. You will collaborate closely with your colleagues in Bangalore as well as Nasdaq teams in other countries. Your role will involve Linux system administration tasks, Linux-based troubleshooting, L2/L3 technical support, and proactive resolution of production environment issues using monitoring tools like Zabbix. Key Responsibilities: - Define and implement software solutions - Perform system and log supervision to ensure service availability and review system/application logs - Troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis of processing issues - Resolve incidents and service requests within SLAs and ITIL Incident Management Processes - Deploy applications using Puppet, Gitlab, and Bitbucket following Change Management Processes - Develop and integrate process automation tools using Bash and Python Required Qualifications: - Solid background in Linux/Unix environment (3-5 years) - Experience with supervising tools like Zabbix and Grafana (3-4 years) - Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Puppet and Ansible (2-3 years) - Strong scripting knowledge in Bash and Python - Exposure to Jira, Git/Bitbucket tools (2-3 years) - Familiarity with AWS cloud technologies (2 years) - Good understanding of ITIL methodologies Preferred Qualifications: - Exposure to Terraform (Intermediate) - Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, EKS - Knowledge of networking protocols like TCP/IP networking and routing - Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related discipline - Minimum 3 years of experience in an equivalent discipline At Nasdaq, we foster a vibrant and entrepreneurial culture where initiative, challenging the status quo, and taking intelligent risks are encouraged.
