Job Description

You are a highly skilled and experienced Senior Programmer responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing a legacy software application built using VC++ and MFC with an Oracle database. Your key responsibilities include diagnosing and fixing software defects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, performing code reviews, optimizing application performance, and participating in the full software development lifecycle. You are required to have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in software development using VC++ and MFC. Additionally, you should have a solid understanding of Oracle databases, experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and database design, proficiency in debugging C++ applications, and familiarity with source control systems such as Git or SVN. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders are also important. Preferred skills include familiarity with modern C++ standards, C#, .NET Core, web development, experience in migrating or refactoring legacy applications, knowledge of other programming languages or frameworks, and experience in agile methodologies.
