Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Backend Systems
Location: Remote (India) Pune/Delhi/Delhi NCRMumbaiExperience: 8+ yearsWere looking for a Senior SRE to join our backend team and help scale our real-time, event-driven platform. This role goes beyond traditional DevOps we're seeking engineers who can write high-quality code, debug complex distributed systems, and build for reliability at scale.What Youll Do:Investigate issues like Kafka lag, timeouts, and memory spikesDebug and optimize backend code (Python, Go, Node.js, etc.)Design fault-tolerant, scalable systems with observability in mindBuild tools to detect and prevent incidentsOwn monitoring, alerting, and SLOsCollaborate closely with backend and infrastructure teamsWhat Were Looking For:Strong debugging and tracing skillsHands-on with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)Deep knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, RedisBackend coding in Python, Go, Rust, or Node.jsExperience with microservices, distributed systems, containerized deploymentsNice to Have:Exposure to Pulsar, Flink, or LLMsFamiliarity with DevSecOps, GitOpsExperience in chaos testing, load testingInterview Process:High-level system designCoding round focused on debugging and problem-solvingWhy Join Us?Modern architecture, no legacyDeep technical work with real impactRemote-friendly, collaborative culture
