Job Description

Job Title: Sr. QA Engineer

Location: Hyderabad

Work Setting: Work from office

Working Shift: UK Shift

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in both manual and automation testing and will be

responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of products, custom applications, and service-based

solutions. The role requires flexibility to work in the UK shift, and the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Strategy & Planning

• Understand business and technical requirements to design effective test strategies.

• Create, review, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, integration, regression,

and system testing.

Manual Testing

• Conduct end-to-end manual testing for web and mobile applications.

• Validate UI/UX compliance, backend logic, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Identify, log, and track defects, and work with development teams to ensure resolution.

Automation Testing

• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver or similar tools.

• Automate repetitive test cases for regression and smoke testing.

• Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

Product & Application Testing

• Perform testing for in-house product platforms and custom-built client applications.

• Validate integrations with third-party services, APIs, and databases.

Service-Based Project QA

• Work closely with project teams to understand testing requirements for service engagements.

• Ensure deliverables meet customer expectations through effective QA practices.

Reporting & Collaboration

• Generate test summary reports and defect metrics.

• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and client stakeholders to ensure quality across the SDLC.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• 6+ years of QA experience in both manual and automation testing.

• Strong expertise in Selenium with Java or Python.

• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, STLC, and defect lifecycle.

• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured) is a plus.

• Familiarity with version control tools like Bit Bucket, Git and test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or

Zephyr.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to work in UK shift (2 PM to 11 PM IST) and occasional rotation shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
