Job Description

Job Purpose

Manage various project turnarounds through a team of site engineers and vendors to complete all aspects of the project as per drawings and technical specifications within the agreed cost and timeline budgets

Roles & Responsibilities specific functions/ tasks/ performance objectives

  1. Fully understand the scope of the project work to be done.
  2. Meticulously check all drawings received from the design team/architects and raise any queries to clarify any technical doubts.
  3. Prepare Master Project schedule and Master project budget to track project milestones, project costs and project timetable.
  4. Prepare and implement weekly scheduling system for tracking during preconstruction phase.

  5. Float tenders, finalize rates and raise Works Orders to initiate procurement of materials as per BOQ in coordination with concerned consultants.
  6. Ensure that work is executed by own team and the vendors within the budgeted costs and in the stipulated time frame.
  7. Prepare and maintain weekly

    reports of project status.

  8. Responsible for knowing and understanding, maintaining and delivering timely documentation related to the project.

  9. Supervise and monitor vendor activity on site to ensure work proceeds as per schedule and expedite where required

    .

    Coordinate and management with multiple stakeholders for the project

  10. Ensure that running bills based on work progress are made successfully and presented for payment to client.
  11. Interact with clients for any clarifications, deviations, design changes and ensure they are mutually resolved.

  12. Maintain log of all such decisions and communicate the same to ADs and top management.

  13. Responsible for all technical, quality and commercial aspects of the work

  14. Conduct regular inventory of site materials to check tally with BOQ.
  15. Co-ordinate with AD and top management to ensure that resources such as equipment, expertise, manpower is made available to complete the project in time.

  16. Report

    on project progress to HO through weekly / monthly reports and maintain minutes with help of Project Coordinator of all design and progress meetings for circulation to top management.

  17. Maintain proper record of all important documentation including those relating to statutory approvals and handover of site

    .
  18. Ability to handle / oversee

    multiple projects depending on the size.

Experience & Qualifications

Bachelors degree /diploma in Civil Engineering and diploma in Project Management

12-14 years experience in handling large / medium sized PMC/ turnkey projects and guide a team and effectively deploy manpower for successful on-time completion of the projects.

Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of various building codes and specifications.
  • Good knowledge of use and application of building, interior and architectural materials.
  • Conversant with technical and commercial aspects of the procurement process and ability to evaluate vendors on cost, delivery and quality parameters.
  • Strong scheduling and prioritizing abilities.
  • Ability to delegate and supervise work at the site and control the site personnel.
  • Ability to anticipate and eliminate technical and work related bottlenecks.
  • Excellent knowledge and use of MS Project and documentation
