As a Senior Pipeline Engineer at McDermott, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the Pipeline Engineering discipline within the organization. Drawing on your expertise and experience, you will serve as a valuable resource for colleagues, providing guidance and sharing knowledge to improve products and services. Your responsibilities will involve solving complex problems, adhering to guidelines and policies, and collaborating with various teams to deliver high-quality results. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct engineering activities for onshore and offshore pipeline systems, applying in-depth knowledge of design codes and relevant software tools - Perform conceptual, FEED, Studies, and detailed analyses and designs in alignment with project specifications and standards - Prepare detailed design calculations, reports, and procedures within specified deadlines and budgets - Communicate effectively on technical issues and collaborate with stakeholders to address concerns and ensure project requirements are met - Assist in estimating bid proposals, raising change notifications, and providing technical support for project deliverables - Participate in project meetings, reviews, and site surveys as necessary, offering technical guidance and reviewing design reports - Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure coordination and compliance with project requirements - Provide technical direction for Designers and support procurement activities to meet project objectives - Review vendor and subcontractor submittals, perform design verification, and assist in audits and lessons learned processes - Mentor and guide less experienced engineers on engineering procedures, standards, and design calculations - Prepare and review material specifications, fabrication and installation guidelines, and various pipeline design analyses - Report to Project Engineer or Lead Engineer and liaise with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, vendors, and customers Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 7-10 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry - Proficiency in design techniques, analysis methods, engineering standards, and software applications - Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently, supervise, and motivate team members - Fluency in English, both oral and written - Knowledge of HSE, TQM, and cost-conscious practices - Willingness to adapt to changing work environments and collaborate effectively with diverse teams Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree and Professional Engineer certification preferred In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to challenging projects, drive innovation, and make a significant impact on the energy sector.
