Senior Manager - Insurance Operations (Grade E)

We are looking for a highly skilled Operational Risk and Governance Manager to join our team. This role will be pivotal in ensuring that our operational risk management framework is robust and effective, while also overseeing governance processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in risk management, governance, and compliance, along with excellent leadership and communication skills.

We will count on you to:

Operational Risk Management:

• Develop, implement, and maintain the operational risk management framework, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and prioritize operational risks across the organization.
• Collaborate with business units to design and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.

Governance Oversight:

• Establish and maintain governance structures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Monitor and report on governance-related activities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and risk appetite.
• Facilitate governance meetings and ensure that action items are tracked and addressed.

Monitoring and Reporting:

• Develop and maintain key risk indicators (KRIs) and metrics to monitor operational risk exposure.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports on operational risk and governance status to senior management and the board.
• Ensure timely reporting of incidents and breaches, along with appropriate follow-up actions.

Policy Development and Compliance:

• Create and update operational risk and governance policies to reflect changes in regulations and best practices.
• Ensure that all employees are aware of and adhere to risk management and governance policies.

Training and Awareness:

• Develop and deliver training programs to enhance awareness of operational risk and governance across the organization.
• Foster a culture of risk awareness and compliance among employees at all levels.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with internal audit, compliance, and other risk management functions to ensure a cohesive approach to risk governance.
• Engage with external stakeholders, including regulators and industry groups, to stay informed of emerging trends and regulatory changes.

Incident Management:

• Oversee the investigation and resolution of operational risk incidents, ensuring that lessons learned are documented and communicated.
• Analyze incidents to identify root causes and recommend improvements to processes and controls.

What you need to have:

- Graduate with 8 -10 years of experience in the insurance broking domain

- Knowledge of UK London market risks/ FCA regulations is preferred
