Senior Lead Developer

As a Senior Lead Developer at Specscart, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing scalable web applications with a primary focus on Node.js, React.js, and Next.js. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the seamless integration of front-end and back-end functionalities to build robust and high-performance systems that support Specscart's growth. You will lead the development of complex web applications, emphasizing performance, reliability, and architectural integrity. Additionally, you will architect and implement systems with a future-ready approach, especially for launching and managing multiple international storefronts. Your role will involve optimizing systems and API integrations to guarantee seamless functionality and fast load times. Taking ownership of full project lifecycles, from planning and prototyping to deployment and maintenance, will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. You will also mentor and guide junior developers, conduct code reviews, solve blockers, and ensure the adoption of best coding practices. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including product, design, operations, and marketing will be essential to align development with business needs. You will be accountable for ensuring strong data security, performance, and scalability across all services. Your must-have skills include a minimum of 6 years of experience as a Senior Full Stack Developer, demonstrating solid logical reasoning and technical expertise to build efficient and scalable applications. Proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, and database management (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL) is required. Experience with frontend technologies like React, Next.js, HTML, CSS, and Tailwind is also essential. A clear understanding of RESTful APIs, server-side logic, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar) is necessary. Your proven experience in system design, codebase optimization, modular architecture, and ability to troubleshoot complex bugs across backend and integration points will be invaluable. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and deployment processes is a must, along with excellent communication skills and a track record of leading or mentoring teams. Nice to have skills include experience with internationalization (i18n), multi-store setups, or headless CMS integrations, exposure to e-commerce platforms, and performance optimization for high-traffic environments, as well as experience in development team handling.
