A Day In The Life

Our Global Diabetes Capability Center in Pune is expanding to serve more people living with diabetes globally. Our state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to transforming diabetes management through innovative solutions and technologies that reduce the burden of living with diabetes.

You will play a critical role in our software development. Primary responsibility will be building enterprise grade interactive web applications, a keen eye for user experience, and the ability to deploy and scale enterprise grade applications .

In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Data Science team to design, prototype, develop, and deploy full-stack applications.

This role offers a dynamic opportunity to join Medtronic's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. While you will start your employment with Medtronic, upon establishment of SpinCo or the transition of the Diabetes business to another company, your employment may transfer to either SpinCo or the other company, at Medtronic's discretion and subject to any applicable information and consultation requirements in your jurisdiction.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders to understand business requirements, translate them to technical solutions. Design and built end to end solutions in React.
• Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces with an emphasis on usability, performance, and accessibility.
• Develop responsive, interactive UIs using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular to present data science insights and AI-driven results.
• Build and maintain enterprise full-stack web applications, which serves for large user base more than 10,000 users.
• Design interfaces that allow business users to interact with AI/ML, Gen AI models, provide input parameters, view predictions, and interpret results.
• Collaborate with data scientists to integrate model outputs into front-end components in real time or batch.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on AWS, leveraging services like EC2, Fargate, Lambda, S3, and AWS Cognito.
• Ensure performance, security, and scalability of applications in cloud environments.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and agile ceremonies to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience in building web applications using React, preferably working on data-driven applications.
• Frontend development using HTML5, CSS3, JS and one or more JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular or equivalent. React is preferred.
• Understanding of authentication and security best practices for web applications, e.g. SSO, Contrast Security integrations.
• Basic knowledge on SQL, Python and database technologies.
• Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Expert in deploying, scaling, and monitoring enterprise-level web applications.
• Portfolios or GitHub links for React projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have JavaScript/React certifications.
• Experience in JavaScript frameworks for building web applications, Preferably React JS.
• Experience with micro-services architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.
