Job Summary:

Senior Instrumentation Engineer (Assistant Manager)

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Design & Development

• Lead the design and development of advanced instrumentation systems.
• Select, specify, and configure control systems and communication protocols based on latest technologies and operational needs.
• Prepare P&IDs, loop diagrams, and technical specifications.

2. Implementation & Commissioning

• Oversee installation, calibration, and commissioning of instrumentation systems and field instruments.
• Ensure smooth integration with existing plant operations and readiness for start-up.
• Validate control panels, PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems for functionality and compliance.

3. Troubleshooting & Maintenance

• Conduct root cause analysis for instrumentation faults and implement corrective actions.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime.
• Ensure continuous availability and performance of instrumentation systems.

4. Team Leadership

• Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and technicians.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor day-to-day activities and shift responsibilities.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the team.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Operations, Electrical, Mechanical, and Process teams to provide integrated plant solutions.
• Support inter-departmental projects, plant modifications, and shutdown activities.

6. Standards & Compliance

• Develop and implement instrumentation SOPs, standards, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with national and international safety and quality regulations.
• Conduct audits, risk assessments, and periodic reviews of systems and procedures.

7. Training & Development

• Organize technical training and skill enhancement programs for team members.
• Promote continuous learning in emerging instrumentation tools and technologies.

8. Project Management

• Plan and manage instrumentation project including upgrades, replacements, and new installations.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
• Track project milestones, budgets, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong expertise in control systems, instrumentation hardware, PLC/DCS/SCADA, and industrial protocols.
• Proven leadership ability in managing teams, scheduling, and technical mentoring.
• Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Strong understanding of safety standards, audit requirements, and documentation.
• Effective project management and stakeholder coordination capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or B.E. in

  Control & Instrumentation Engineering

• Age Limit:

  30 to 40 Years
